Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Suitable for families celebrating a Bar/Bat Mitzvah and for groups interested in the topic.
A guided tour of the museum's exhibits following the question "How the Jewish people survived and continue surviving thousands of years?" Throughout the tour the visitors will see artifacts that deal with adolescence and identity and will visit the "Who Am I?" exhibit where they will deal with the meaning of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
The visit includes a movie telling the captivating story of a Torah scroll that was given to a boy on his Bar Mitzvah in the Ghetto and which decades later was lost in space when the Israeli astronaut, the late Ilan Ramon, took it with him.
Jerusalem
The activity includes an exciting guided tour of the museum with an emphasis on objects with stories connected to Jerusalem from various historical periods,starting with a huge painting of Jerusalem by the artist Reuven Rubin. After the museum, the party will go to the rooftop of the building for a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem and the hills surrounding the city.
The Synagogue
A guided tour in the exhibit "…and I May Dwell Among Them". Through the artifacts the visitors learn of the material and spiritual components of synagogues with emphasis on the question "How the Jewish people survived and continue surviving thousands of years".
Jewish Identity*
A guided tour through the new and fascinating exhibit "…and the Letters Soar Heavenwards - Vilna as a Metaphor for Jewish Identity". The tour includes audiovisual presentations and looking at unique artifacts related to Jewish identity, Vilna Jewry and the Holocaust that take the visitor into a mysterious world of books and Torah scrolls.
